The total crypto market cap is now within 13% of 2018’s ATH. But now we have games, NFTs and DeFi applications that despite the recent pain, all still have users. This sort of bear market makes me bullish!

Being a contrarian takes guts

#DAI is already over 4 years old and still here. The longer something is around, the higher the chances it will remain around. DeFi is not a solution in search of a problem. DeFi works.

We are entering a shared virtual economy. Returns will rival some of today's biggest economies.

Launching an NFT is step 1. Use it to create a community and build your organization on top of this NFT stack. t.co/BoLxTRd2WY

The power of building an audience should NEVER be underestimated. Focus on building your first 1,000 true fans and you're set for life.

Social metaverses like Decentraland are limited in variety relative to gaming metaverses. Gamers seek new lives, experiences, ecosystems and games. We do not need the same level of differentiation for socializing.

History tends to repeat itself The issue is that crypto is very new and lacks history Stop predicting the market and focus your energy on a small number of calculated LONG TERM bets

Will the imperfections of the human brain, specifically greed, ruin web 3 as it has to web 2?

Terra and Do Kwon, Celsius, Three Arrows Capital and more…. Markets are capable of humbling anyone.

First crypto winter for you? As a reminder, during the 2018/2019 crypto winter, the price of bitcoin tumbled 65% from $20,000 to below $7,000 in Feb. 2018.

Over $40bn of VC money has gone into the space. What do you think entrepreneurs will do with all this money? Stop freaking out and let builders build.

I talk a lot about the importance of scaling & investing when there's blood on the streets, but i forget that this "blood" is from the same people already investing in the space😔 For everyone thats hurting, stay strong & be patient. The time to exit the market has likely passed

A company's take rate is a Web 3 protocol's opportunity.

The next few months... t.co/IPhLWrmR9v

The irony...

Evolution of digital identity... Web 1: Profile name Web 2: Profile pic Web 3: Avatar

ln the physical world most of the things we own are non-fungible items (phone, car, identity...) Although there are fungible things like money, they represent a small % of what we own. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of tokens in the digital world are also non-fungible.

Networks are the new economies.

Web 2 was meant to be "do no evil" Web 3 should be "cannot do evil"

It's important to remember that innovation takes a lot longer to impact our world than most people expect. For example, virtual reality and AI were expected to blow up years, even decades ago, and only now are we seeing the real potential of these technologies.

The higher the take rate (margins of a platform), the more susceptible these platforms are to disruptions by Web 3.

Delayed gratification Delayed gratification Delayed fucking gratification! Google 'the marshmallow experiment'

Here's an interesting perspective... PFP NFTs are just getting started! Why? Well there are over 7 billion people on the planet. If PFPs represent identity, then we don't have nearly enough for the entire population... Contrarian food for thought 😏
