#BREAKING: China’s military is currently conducting drills of an “all-round encirclement” of Taiwan, according to ongoing reporting by local media. Considering the ‘drills’ Russia did before the Ukraine war, I wouldn’t discount this as simply ‘posturing’ While unlikely, an invasion of Taiwan will almost certainly trigger a U.S. military response. This would be CATASTROPHIC not only for Taiwan, but for the world. The global economy would be screwed.

#BREAKING: Pentagon Papers Leaked Classified documents have been leaked which appear to show US national security secrets relating to Ukraine, the Middle East and China. The leak, which includes 100 documents, expose Ukraine's military strategy ahead of a planned offensive against Russian troops. The Biden administration have been caught off guard. A senior intelligence official called the leak “a nightmare for the Five Eyes.” Former Pentagon official Mick Mulroy called the leak “a significant breach in security” that could hinder Ukrainian military planning. On the other hand, military analysts told the NYT that the documents, if genuine at all, may have been modified as part of a Russian disinformation campaign. One example given was the documents’ misleading overstating of Ukrainian deaths and an understatement of Russian deaths. "I do believe it is an example of hybrid warfare meant to shake the faith of the Ukrainian population," Tom Kellermann Zelensky’s advisor called the documents “virtual fake leaks” Russian sources are skeptical, labelling the leaks as "disinformation by Western intelligence in order to mislead our command in identifying the enemy's strategy in the coming counteroffensive." Is this a disinformation campaign by Russia? By the US? Or a legitimate leak exposing NATO’s Ukraine strategy?

Finland joins NATO Finland formally joined NATO on Tuesday and became the 31st NATO country. The border between Russia and NATO countries has now doubled.
