CNN has already taken heat after the Trump town hall on May 10, with chief international anchor Christiane Amanpour publicly criticizing the town hall in remarks at Columbia Journalism School. Just 3 days ago I was talking in our space that I expect the media to slowly shift to becoming less biased as they continue to hemorrhage trust. Could we see other networks, including Fox, make a move towards less bias and more objectivity?

The settlement does not imply an admission of wrongdoing by Deutsche Bank. Epstein began banking with Deutsche Bank in 2013 after JPMorgan Chase closed his accounts. BREAKING: Joe Biden’s Phone Records Subpoenaed The House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed phone records of a phone belonging to President Joe Biden that Hunter Biden’s business paid for, according to Peter Schweizer, Government Accountability Institute president in an interview on Tuesday. This revelation emerged from information found on Hunter Biden's laptop, indicating that he covered his father's phone expenses from 2009 to 2017, during Joe Biden's tenure as vice president. The Oversight Committee aims to investigate the individuals with whom Joe Biden communicated on this phone. During an interview, Peter Schweizer, the president of the Government Accountability Institute, disclosed this information and voiced concerns over the alleged removal of the IRS investigative team responsible for probing Hunter Biden's suspected tax evasion. Schweizer suspects that such removal might be unlawful and suggests the presence of political interference in the investigation. Schweizer's book, "Secret Empires," exposed Hunter Biden's failure to pay taxes on foreign income, resulting in an IRS inquiry and a grand jury investigation. While we all love to highlight the corruption in the U.S. legal system, I feel it's at least trying to hold both Biden and Trump accountable. The alleged reason for the ban is that TikTok serves as a ‘national security risk’ to the U.S. This allegation is due to concerns TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, would leak U.S. citizens' data to the Chinese Communist Party. Free-speech advocates, including the ACLU, criticize the ban as a violation of First Amendment rights. The nationwide banning of TikTok is being used to as a scapegoat to introduce The Restrict Act, designed to destroy crypto while introducing VERY harsh censorship laws. The legislation's authors anticipate legal battles, while supporters claim legal precedence. The case could determine whether federal efforts to ban TikTok are upheld. While I understand the concerns that are leading to this ban, I worry this could set a very dangerous precedence. Instead, I much prefer forcing ByteDance to sell TikTok U.S. to an American-owned company. Is banning TikTok the right move? Or is it a violation of the first amendment?

Epstein paid $150k to Leon Botstein and moved $270k for Noam Chomsky Both academics met with Epstein even after he was convicted as a sex offender. Both academics denied personal benefit and mentioned other philanthropic contributions. While these payments don’t immediately implicate anyone, it’s a reminder of the deep corruption that exists within our society. As we continue to dig deeper into Epstein’s web of influence, guilty accomplices will be brought to justice while innocent parties have their reputation tarnished just for doing business with Epstein. We were given little to no information on why this happened, but Elon has responded. Elon states that Epstein NEVER advised him on anything and that he would NEVER need financial advice from a man like Epstein. Elon added he has not ‘forgiven’ JPMorgan for letting Tesla down 10 years ago. All of this adds to the narrative that this may be politically motivated, and the claim of Elon having any connection to Epstein holds little to no substance. This is a reminder to what I said earlier: Not everyone who met or spoke to Epstein is immediately involved in Epstein’s crimes. It’s important to scrutinize, but just as important to not immediately come to conclusions.

I don’t know how our democracy can continue functioning with such mistrust in media, large corporations and the government. There is a large void for trusted uncensored sources of information, and Twitter is at the forefront in filling that void. As Elon fights censorship, community notes fights misinformation, and Twitter thrives. Will Twitter replace mainstream media? Who's next to fall after Vice?
