The fighting on the border is “only skirmishes” and represents a “warning.” Former Israeli Defense Minister, Yitzhak Mordechai, reaffirmed this point by saying: "Hezbollah has an interest in diverting attention" If Hezbollah does enter, it will be through a sudden, unexpected barrage of missiles towards Israel, beyond the border region. Although unlikely, this is still a very possible scenario, and it will signal a VERY serious escalation in the war, likely involving the U.S, and dragging Lebanon into the war. Hezbollah's involvement also increases the risk, which is currently still low, of Iran getting directly involved. However, one should be concerned as things continue to escalate. A few minutes ago, we got reports from the Israeli Army that militants, likely Hezbollah, shot down cameras installed on the border fence with Lebanon.
