🇵🇦 Panama is still shaking after a powerful 7.7 earthquake hit on Friday.
More than 200 aftershocks have followed, though they’re getting weaker. Nearly 900 homes and at least 14 bridges were damaged, and 27 people were hurt.
The government has declared a national emergency, and the U.S. is sending $5 million and a rescue team.
The good news is that nobody has died so far, and the Panama Canal, one of the world’s busiest shipping routes, is still running as normal.
For a quake that powerful, the fact that no lives have been lost so far is a huge relief.

@MarioNawfal 200 aftershocks after a 7.7? That's terrifying. Huge relief that nobody's died, but 900 homes and 14 bridges is still brutal. Hope rescue crews can reach everybody fast.
