🇺🇸🇮🇳 BACK IN U.S. CUSTODY! An FBI MOST WANTED fraud suspect arrested in India in September now faces charges.
Manjit Singh Bedi, who ran a Tacoma grocery store, allegedly exchanged SNAP EBT benefits for cash and kept half the money.
The scheme allegedly stole at least $600K between 2024 and 2025.
After being charged, he fled to Canada and flew to India.
He’s one of six suspects on a new fraud list caught in three months, tied to over $2B in alleged fraud.
Punjab police arrested him, and the FBI is working on his return.

@MarioNawfal If these charges hold up, that's taxpayer money meant to feed struggling families turned into somebody's cash business. SNAP needs real fraud checks at the register, not after the money is already gone.
