🇫🇷 FIREFIGHTERS are trying to put out a fire in Lyon. But first, POLICE have to PROTECT THEM FROM THE MOB France is seeing another wave of violent unrest, and things have gotten particularly ugly at Place Bellecour in Lyon. The city's tourist office has caught fire, and local reports say hostile individuals are preventing firefighters from getting close enough to tackle the blaze. Earlier, protesters blocked roads, clashed with police and were met with tear gas as demonstrations over living costs spread across the country. People are angry about the cost of living. That's understandable. But firefighters aren't politicians. They're not responsible for anyone's bills or government policies. They're there to stop buildings from burning down. When the people trying to save lives need police protection just to do their jobs, something has gone terribly wrong! Writer: Oliver t.co/IwxZUpZGGq

🇸🇦🇮🇷 Iranian President Pezeshkian on his support for the Mecca alliance despite it being defined by a regional rival: "This is a step forward. Muslims should unite. We are ready to participate in this process. Of course, we do not know the details of their decisions. Mehdi Hasan came to this interview with receipts. He confronted Neera Tanden over the Center for American Progress hosting Netanyahu in 2015. Tanden said she now regrets it and wishes it had never happened. Then Mehdi pulled out an old email in which she reportedly told John Podesta that getting a Bain Capital figure on CAP's board made hosting Netanyahu worth it. Complete with a smiley face. Tanden said she didn't remember the email and pointed to the Obama administration's involvement. The moment he brought up that email, this became a very different interview. We should sit down and follow God's commandments." Writer: Mhedi t.co/U0cfy8IZuk

British companies are working with the Ministry of Defence to develop technology capable of tracking, intercepting and potentially disabling hostile satellites. It comes as Russia is suspected of developing nuclear anti-satellite weapons, while China has been conducting sophisticated orbital maneuvers, including simulated satellite dogfights. Experts predict that future wars could begin with attacks on satellites, blinding enemy militaries, cutting communications and disrupting critical infrastructure before anything happens on the ground. 🇺🇸 Hilary Clinton on how she thinks America should be restored: "I want to see the right people in the room again making the hard decisions. Nobody makes the right decisions all the time. We approach it with the idea that we're putting our country first. We're putting the people first. We're not putting our personal financial interests first.
