🇺🇸🇷🇺 Marco Rubio on pessimism that the Russian war can be settled with diplomacy: Reporter: "What evidence do you actually have that Putin is open to peace talks?" Rubio: "What evidence? This is not a criminal case. This is about diplomacy. In diplomacy, you continue to try. Sometimes these conflicts are complicated and deadlocked, in which neither side is making clear victories, but both sides are inflicting tremendous damage. We're just going to keep trying to the extent that we can." Writer: Mhedi t.co/MMbh7Y7JAe

🇺🇸🇺🇦 Whatever happened to ending the war in 24 hours? Rubio now says the roots of the Ukraine war are a tough nut to crack: “Underlying factors that led to the Ukraine War and have persisted are not easy ones to address. But we will continue to try.” Nearly 2 years into Trump’s term, and the plan has gone from 24 hours to “we will continue to try.” Writer: Julie t.co/ECxjRzATM5

🇺🇸🇷🇺 Marco Rubio on why sanctions on Russia have been suspended: "He once again reiterated why he has suspended the sanctions for 60 days. It's because he wants to see if there is an opportunity for the talks that are going on right now, with both Ukraine and Russia, to lead to something positive and avoid another year of war." Of course, it may also be that these sanctions are being suspended so that Trump's diesel deal with Russia could be completed. Writer: Mhedi t.co/hwReI8X0iH

🇺🇸🇺🇦 Russian ballistic missiles hit Kyiv last night JUST as the sirens went off. Last week's missing warnings were blamed on "bad weather." Now Rubio is blaming a SOFTWARE glitch, and he won't go near last night: "A few nights ago, there was a software problem involving Ukraine's early warning system. EUCOM is looking at it. I can't comment on what happened last night." Bad weather, buggy software... what's next, the satellite ate the homework? Sources: Kyiv Independent, Politico / Writer: Julie t.co/o4At1jqXaX

🇺🇸 Hackers could ALREADY BE INSIDE America's POWER GRID AND WATER SYSTEMS, just waiting to flip the switch. Hackers remotely turned supermarket refrigeration systems into ovens, pushing temperatures above 120°F and destroying millions of dollars worth of food. Now cybersecurity expert John Walsh is warning that America's water, electricity and food infrastructure could face similar attacks. Many facilities still rely on equipment that's 15 to 20 years old, running software that's difficult to update and increasingly exposed to the internet. And his biggest concern isn't hackers trying to break in tomorrow. They may already be inside, quietly learning how to shut everything down when the moment comes. Source: Fox News / Writer: Oliver

🇫🇷🇮🇷 IRAN'S FM IS TROLLING MACRON OVER FRANCE FALLING APART Abbas Araghchi has apparently decided that watching Paris descend into riots isn't enough. He wants to rub it in. He's accusing Macron of supporting atrocities against Iranians, then throwing France's own unrest straight back in his face. And the final line is absolutely vicious: “Listen to the future of France, Mr. President.” Macron spent yesterday addressing his nation after shops were looted, buildings burned and thousands arrested. Now he's getting lectures about civil liberties from the foreign minister of IRAN. You genuinely couldn't write this stuff. Writer: Oliver t.co/NbdJA2LPa0

🇺🇸 Abdul El-Sayed is now pulling the JFK card over questions about his family's MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD history. The Michigan Senate candidate is facing questions after his half-sister's old social media posts resurfaced, describing their mother's involvement with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. One post even said her family had “long been MB.” El-Sayed's response? He compared himself to John F. Kennedy, who faced questions about his Catholic faith during the 1960 presidential election. Which is quite a historical leap. JFK had to convince Americans he wasn't taking orders from the Pope. El-Sayed is being asked about political affiliations described in his own family's social media posts. He denies having any personal connection to the Muslim Brotherhood, and no evidence has established otherwise. But dragging JFK into a controversy involving your half-sister's tweets from 2012 is certainly one way to tackle the issue. Source: Fox News / Writer: Oliver

🇫🇷 PARIS IS LOOKING LIKE A DISASTER MOVIE Except nobody remembered to hire actors. Australian filmmaker James Fenwick has been filming the chaos on the streets of Paris. And the footage is absolutely grim. This isn't some right-wing commentator hunting for the worst possible camera angle. The man is politically on the left, and even through his lens, the scenes are horrifying. At some point, the political arguments become irrelevant. You can sympathize with protesters all you want. It gets considerably harder when the streets start looking like a war zone. Writer: Oliver t.co/WFk4KIuACZ

🇺🇸🇮🇱 Tucker just WENT OFF on NETANYAHU AND ISRAEL'S LEADERSHIP And he's going after something much deeper than the war itself. Tucker argues that when a country convinces itself the entire world wants it dead, eventually ANYTHING can be justified in the name of survival. He points to the devastation in Lebanon, DESTROYED CHURCHES, and what he explicitly calls GENOCIDE. And then comes the question that really stings: What the hell did the Christians do to deserve any of this? His larger argument is that suffering doesn't give anyone a lifetime license to inflict suffering on others. “You become a monster to the extent you believe you are a victim.” And Tucker isn't just talking about Israel. He's warning that ANY society can reach the point where it stops seeing innocent people on the other side as human beings. That's a pretty dark place to end up. Grok Bot just found a pretty satisfying way to annoy the spammers for a change. Its free Spam-Call Scrubber tracks down your phone number on data broker and people-search sites, submits removal requests and follows up on confirmations. Because those listings can reappear, the bot can keep checking on a schedule. All that boring work to help stop your number being passed around to more unwanted callers. Grok Bot actually volunteers to fill out opt-out forms. Give it all of them. @Grok @Bot @spacexai / Writer: Annette, Designer: Janné

🇷🇺🇺🇦 HOLY HELL! RUSSIAN BALLISTIC MISSILES ARE RAINING DOWN ON KYIV AGAIN Footage reportedly shows multiple missiles SLAMMING into the Ukrainian capital as Russia continues hammering the country's energy infrastructure. The INSANE part: days ago, Trump was talking about an energy ceasefire. Instead, Ukraine has reported 76 Russian attacks on its energy sector in a SINGLE WEEK. Meanwhile, Kyiv is heading toward winter with its power grid under fire and air defenses stretched dangerously thin. Some ceasefire. Writer: Oliver t.co/mHZ4LMorfm

🇺🇸 SpaceX is getting ready to attempt something absolutely INSANE: REFUELING TWO STARSHIPS IN ORBIT. The company is targeting the first half of 2027, potentially as early as FEBRUARY, for its first orbital docking and refueling demonstration. Two massive spacecraft will have to meet in space, dock, and transfer super-cold rocket propellant between them. This is one of the BIGGEST technological hurdles standing between humanity and a return to the Moon, with enormous implications for future missions to Mars. If SpaceX pulls this off, it could fundamentally change how humanity travels through space. Writer: Sol t.co/hIh9ui9plc

🇲🇽 The Water March in Guadalajara, Mexico got completely out of hand. Hooded guys pushed a burning dumpster right up to the Government Palace and tried to smash their way through the front door, hours after the Congress gate had already been set on fire with Molotovs. Crowds showed up just asking for clean water, and a few masked guys turned it into this. Guadalajara deserves better. Writer: Daniyal t.co/TiikFparn8

🇨🇴 As if there weren't ENOUGH problems erupting around the world, now Colombia is joining the chaos. Riot police deployed a WATER CANNON in Bogota to disperse protesters outside the National Museum after demonstrations over the removal of around 30 exhibits escalated into a confrontation with authorities. The protesters accuse the government of erasing history, while city officials say they needed to reopen the road after negotiations failed. Seriously, IS THERE ANY COUNTRY HAVING A NORMAL WEEKEND? 🇺🇸🇮🇷 ANOTHER U.S. AIRCRAFT CARRIER is heading toward the Middle East as tensions with Iran remain dangerously high. The USS Theodore Roosevelt is expected to enter CENTCOM's area of operations after its stop in Japan, bringing its strike group, fighter jets, and an unmanned warship called Seahawk. The U.S. already has TWO carrier strike groups operating in the region while enforcing its naval blockade against Iran. Washington is preparing to bring even MORE naval firepower into an already explosive situation. Writer: Sol t.co/rOmcKkQ4JW

🇺🇸🇸🇦🇾🇪 WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING IN THE MIDDLE EAST RIGHT NOW?! The list of U.S. diplomatic missions issuing SECURITY ALERTS now stretches across ELEVEN countries. Jordan. Lebanon. Qatar. Iran. Iraq. Israel. Bahrain. Oman. Saudi Arabia. UAE. Yemen. At this point, you could throw a dart at a map of the Middle East and probably hit an American security warning. And with an actual war raging, this is not exactly the kind of regional coordination anyone wanted to see. Eleven countries on one security-alert list is ONE HELL of a nervous neighborhood.
