The royal kept trying to lure him to a Saudi AI project, at one point telling him, "Saudi needs you more than the U.S!" His reply: "100." The bug was allegedly tucked behind a TV in a room where OpenAI execs were meeting with government officials around the same time. Once he was arrested, his wife and 3-month-old son flew out of the U.S. business class, courtesy of a member of the Saudi military. Starlink just picked up a pretty impressive second job. Helping cars navigate without GPS. Its thousands of satellites can provide positioning signals, while Tesla is developing ways to make vehicle location tracking even more precise. Very useful when GPS signals get weak, jammed or unreliable. Another way for a self-driving car to know exactly where it is. The more reliable that positioning becomes, the better equipped autonomous vehicles are to handle tricky conditions. Internet from space was already impressive.
