🇸🇦🇾🇪 Saudi has one of the world's largest defense budgets, but the Houthis are exposing serious GAPS in its defenses...
Now, Riyadh looking abroad for more military help.
Saudi forces have intercepted more than 90% of Houthi missiles aimed at areas protected by Patriot and other air-defense systems.
But more than half of recent Houthi attacks have targeted locations WITHOUT such protection, while interceptor shortages are forcing Riyadh to prioritize what it can defend.
Saudi is seeking additional assistance from Turkey, Pakistan and European countries, while Egypt has also offered military help.
The problem is scale: Saudi cannot place missile defenses around every airport, oil facility and city across the kingdom. So what do they choose to protect?
