🇸🇦 Abdullah Alaoudh says the war is starting to reach ordinary Saudis even when the missiles don’t.
After the airport strike, warnings and alerts returned, bringing the sense of danger back into daily life.
And he thinks that matters politically.
People may blame the Houthis, but Alaoudh says they can also start blaming their own government for dragging the country deeper into the conflict.
The darker part of his argument is what happens to anyone inside Saudi Arabia who openly objects.
He says even mild criticism from tribal leaders can bring prison or worse, and recalls MBS telling his father that if forced to choose between being loved or feared, he would choose fear.
That keeps dissent quiet.
It doesn’t mean the anger isn’t there.
