An important and historic day in the relations between Israel and Colombia, and for Jerusalem, our capital. This morning, together with my friend, Colombia’s Foreign Minister @omarbula, I inaugurated the Embassy of Colombia in Jerusalem. I thank my friend, the President of Colombia @ABDELAESPRIELLA, who told me in Buenos Aires, long before his election: “If I am elected President, I will immediately move the Embassy of Colombia to Jerusalem.” He made a promise, and he kept it. This is the tenth embassy to open in Jerusalem. Since I took office less than two years ago, the number of embassies in our capital has doubled! And there will be more, God willing, very soon! 🇮🇱🇨🇴 @CancilleriaCol @IsraelMFA

🇮🇱🇨🇴 @CancilleriaCol @IsraelMFA

I was pleased to meet today in Tirana with Prime Minister of Albania @ediramaal. Prime Minister Rama has led Albania continuously for 13 years, and in my opinion, is one of the most prominent and valued leaders in the world today. He is a clear and courageous voice on the international stage. He is also a steadfast friend of Israel, who has stood by our side in challenging times. We greatly appreciate his commitment to Israel's security and his resolute stand against antisemitism and terror. This was an in depth conversation about advancing relations between our countries, as well as about the situation in the Middle East and the Western Balkans. Thank you, Edi, for your true friendship and for Albania's deep friendship with Israel! 🇮🇱🇦🇱

🇮🇱🇦🇱 t.co/ID47wLud19

🇮🇱🇦🇱 t.co/bnU9Sta2pC

Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian corrupt dictator, who has not held elections in over twenty years, has once again deceived the international community. His attempt to drag Israel into this, falsely claiming that Israel imposed obstacles to holding elections, is yet another ridiculous lie designed to evade responsibility and accountability. Just like the other lies about “reforms” that were never implemented — ending payments to terrorists and their families, and stoping incitement in the Palestinian education system. For over twenty years, Abbas has been selling the same thing: lies.

The Palestinian Authority hasn't held presidential elections since 2005 or legislative elections since 2006 Mahmoud Abbas is fooling the international community by canceling once again promised elections. His reform pledges to end “pay-for-slay” terrorist salaries and hate education remain empty too. They keep deceiving. Consequences? Not for the corrupt PA!

I am proud to see Israel return to Tier 1 in the U.S. State Department’s annual Trafficking in Persons Report. I thank Secretary of State @SecRubio and the @StateDept for recognizing Israel’s unwavering commitment to the highest standards in the fight against human trafficking. Israel is determined to combat this abhorrent phenomenon, protect its victims, and hold perpetrators accountable. We will continue to do everything necessary to lead this important fight. I commend Israel’s national task force and all those involved for their dedication and professionalism. @IsraelMFA @JusticeGov

🇮🇱 🇵🇾 t.co/ESEr2CvJ3L

At the @Jerusalem_Post Diplomatic Conference at @FOZ_Museum in Jerusalem, I delivered two clear messages: The era of Israeli containment is over. The British Labour Government’s hostile actions against Israel have consequences. Other countries should take note. And Jerusalem is gaining friends! Next week, we open the 10th foreign embassy in our capital, double the number when I took office, with more on the way. 🇮🇱

I was pleased to welcome and speak with a cross-bench delegation of members of the House of Lords. I spoke with them about my decision to end the operations of the British Consulate in Jerusalem and other counter measures I had to take in response to Labour government’s policies against Israel. Very good and frank conversation! We still have good friends in the UK.

Congratulations, dear friend!

Over the past week, we held a dialogue with the British Government with the aim of preventing further deterioration in relations between the countries as a result of the closure of the Consulate. Last night, we reached understandings based on the following principles: 1. As I announced, the British Consulate in Jerusalem ended its role today. The Consul General and 19 diplomats are ending their assignments and will leave Israel. 2. The building that served as the Consulate is the property of the British Government. We have allowed the British Government to operate a task force of only seven diplomats from the building, which ceased to function as a consulate today. Their scope of activity will be very limited. 3. We agreed on the continuation of dialogue between the governments, within which both sides will be able to raise issues important to them. We believe in dialogue and will continue to believe in dialogue. Unfortunately, in recent years, no genuine dialogue has taken place with the Labour Government. This is despite good relations with Britain, reflected, among other things, in security and intelligence cooperation. Relations between Israel and Britain are important and have repeatedly proven their value also in protecting the lives and interests of British citizens. Only recently, Israel provided Britain with vital information in the RAF Fairford affair. All four measures in my statement of 8 September have been implemented. Alongside this, we reached understandings that serve Israel’s interests. In accordance with the understandings we reached, no measures will be taken against Israel as a result of the implementation of the decisions. I thank everyone who was involved in the dialogue and discussions and contributed to reaching the understandings on both sides. I cannot promise that there will not be further crises in the future. If there are, we will face them on the basis of our core principles. It is important to emphasise again that we did not initiate the current situation. We are interested in good relations with all the countries of the world. But any country that acts against Israel must know that there will be a price for doing so. It will not gain from this, but quite the opposite. Israel will no longer turn its cheek to diplomatic attacks against it.

We established a clear principle: It is not possible to act against Israel without Israel taking appropriate measures in response. In this spirit, the measures I announced on 8 September have been implemented: 1.The removal of the British representatives from the International Gaza Support Center in Kiryat Gat. 2.The termination of British activity to train Palestinian Authority forces in Judea and Samaria. 3.The denial of entry to Israel of 12 British elected officials and other British citizens involved in antisemitic and anti-Israel activity, as well as those who deny our very right to exist. 4.The British Consulate in Jerusalem is ending its operations today. Accordingly, the sign of the British Consulate in Jerusalem has been removed. We did not want to reach this point, but the actions of the UK Labour Government brought us here. Their latest decision in this series was to initiate a range of far-reaching sanctions against the communities in Judea and Samaria, as well as additional sanctions on defence exports to Israel. All this was accompanied by hostile rhetoric, including false accusations against Israel, such as accusations of “ethnic cleansing.” This decision adds to a growing and escalating series of unilateral measures against Israel adopted by the Labour Government since taking office in July 2024. These measures included, among others, unilateral recognition of a virtual “Palestinian state” in September 2025; the renewal of funding to UNRWA; the suspension of licences for defence exports to Israel; the imposition of sanctions on Israeli ministers; the imposition of sanctions on Israeli individuals and entities; the suspension of negotiations on a free trade agreement; restrictions on Israel’s official participation in an international defence and security equipment exhibition in Britain; the freezing of military dialogue and security cooperation; the prevention of IDF officers from participating in training at the Royal College of Defence Studies; and repeated, biased and unilateral attacks against Israel in the international arena.

I was honored to be joined by Paraguay’s Vice President @AllianaPedro and @POTUS Donald Trump’s Special Envoy on Antisemitism, @StateSEAS Amb. Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun, in addressing a special memorial ceremony for the victims of October 7, attended by ambassadors from around the world. Three years later, our enemies -Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis - still openly seek Israel’s destruction. We will never lose sight of what our enemies still plan to do.

It was a pleasure to welcome Paraguay’s Vice President @AllianaPedro on his first visit to Israel, accompanied by Foreign Minister my dear friend @rramirezlezcano and Environment Minister Rolando de Barros Barreto. Paraguay is one of Israel’s closest and most steadfast friends. Since the October 7 massacre, it has stood firmly by our side, against terrorism and antisemitism and in defence of Israel. We remember who stands with us in difficult times. Thank you Vice President for your important visit. 🇮🇱🇵🇾

Wonderful to meet my dear friend Dr. Mike Evans and more than 1,000 Christian leaders from 117 countries hosted by @MFAIsrael at the @_friendsofzion Ambassador Summit in Jerusalem. Israel’s soldiers stand on the front line against terror. Our friends around the world stand with us on the front line for truth. Together, we stand for Israel. We stand for Zion. 🇮🇱

I spoke with my friend, Ethiopian Foreign Minister @GHessebon about the recent developments in Ethiopia. We discussed the importance of Ethiopia’s unity and stability, and our shared interest in preserving peace and stability in the Horn of Africa. Israel greatly values its longstanding close friendship with Ethiopia and looks forward to further strengthening the ties between our countries. 🇮🇱🤝🇪🇹

Shameful, outrageous, but sadly not surprising. The desecration of the exhibition commemorating the victims of October 7 at the European Parliament by radical-left MEP Rima Hassan says above all how little respect she has for the very institution in which she serves. I commend the Members of the European Parliament who immediately condemned this disgraceful act, and thank @EP_President Roberta Metsola for her determination and for making clear that such an offense will be dealt with in the strongest terms.

Good meeting in Jerusalem today with Senator @jameslankford, a great friend of Israel and the Jewish people. I thanked him for coming to Israel at this deeply significant time, to stand with us as we commemorate the victims of the October 7 massacre. Senator Lankford has stood firmly with Israel through difficult days and has been a strong and principled voice in the fight against antisemitism. 🇮🇱 🇺🇸

I had a good call with Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, @fivanovicpg. Tourism and investment from Israel in Montenegro are already at impressive levels. With greater cooperation between our countries, we can achieve even more. I invited Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović to visit Israel and look forward to welcoming him soon. 🇮🇱🇲🇪

My heartfelt congratulations to @FilipovicD_ for being elected as the new Croatian member of the BiH presidency. I wish her great success as she assumes this important responsibility and look forward to strengthening the cooperation between our peoples.
